Prepare Project Management Program Status Summaries09 June 2009
Prepare program status summaries. All of the projects in each program are grouped together, and a status summary of all the projects in the program is prepared.
Prepare portfolio status summaries. All projects in the entire organization are summarized into the portfolio status report. Usually, this report focuses on risk, allowing executives to manage corporate risk arising from online project management work.
Prepare external status summaries. If the PMO elects to prepare customized summaries with limited information for external customers or vendors, these summaries are prepared.
Deliver summaries and reports. This is usually done electronically, either by posting to a web site, or by delivering via email. In either case, the PMO ensures that each customer receives the appropriate reports.
Following the eight steps above, the PMO delivers project management templates to stakeholders.
